Well, we're talking about E.L.E (Event of Life Extinction) and extreme natural disasters. However, this may take a few more centuries or even a millenium before the "Apocalypse".

In the mean time, life goes on.

In posting this article, the point I'm trying to convey here is ..... we, humans are just a small tiny part of this whole wide universe. There's still a much higher order at work here in which we, mere mortals, are uncapable of influencing it.
So, why we human beings, keeps fighting and creating conflicts with each other ?

With the recent terrorists attack in Mumbai, the aged old conflict between India & Pakistan are re-ignited again.

The fear & concerns are now focussed on Mecca where millions of Muslims will converge, this Dec 8th, to performed the Haj .... one of the 5 pillars of Islam. Will there be another round of attacks, chaos ??

A month back or so, we also heard of a series of pirates attack on commercial vessels. I did not really follow the details here but I can recalled those involved were Somali pirates & they managed to demand ransoms in millions of dollars.
On the local front, some of our wise & educated officials from National Fatwa Council are having too much time & nothing much to do but to issue fatwas (Islamic decrees) that forbids Muslims from practising yoga (an ancient healing therapy & healthy exercise that originates from India).
I'm not going to go into the details here coz that'll be another story altogether.
So, what is happening to this lovely world of ours ? To me, I don't have to wait for the comet to strike or the whole world to be covered in thick ice (extreme weather change) or gigantic tsunamis hitting our shores.
To me, if extreme terrorisms goes unchecked, excessive piracy (reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean), religious extremism and continuous Global Financial meltdown ........ all this comes close to having an apocalypse.
This is because ... the net effect of all this, the ones who suffered the most are the common people, the man-in-the-street.
Back at home, we have a few religious holidays back-to-back in the immediate 3 months (Dec, Jan, Feb) ... Hari Raya Haji, Christmas, Chinese New Year & Thaipusam. Let us all join hands & pray for a better life and a better world ahead of us.
May peace be upon all of us.
God bless.
